Alain Fabre
Born in Bize-Minervois in 1953, at 3 rue de l’Ancienne Poste, I spent the first part of my professional career in Aveyron, working in cormercial banking. Upon returning to Bize-Minervois in 1990, I became director of the multi-purpose inter-municipal association in the canton of Ginestas. During this time, I became deeply involved in the local sports and cultural associations.
Mayor since 2001, with the constructive support of successive municipal councils, I have focused on strengthening public and private services: education, healthcare, security, and community organisations, so that our village can continue to play its role as a central hub within its region.
Bize is a thriving and dynamic village. I enjoy connecting with people, talking to them, meeting them, exchanging ideas… I work seven days a week, day and night. This elected position requires such a commitment to serving the general interest of the residents of Bize, without discrimination, in accordance with my personal ethics.
My passion for our village remains undiminished. I am ready to continue and to train the new councillors in the sustainable management of our community. I will help them understand the institutional and administrative environment.
Lydie Faure
A former executive at La Poste (the French postal service), I am deeply committed to public service. Now retired, I offer my availability and experience to serve you. As the outgoing First Deputy Mayor, I have learned a great deal from working alongside the village community for more than 20 years.
From early childhood to geriatrics, I work actively with the 11 municipalities in the area within inter-municipal bodies, on major projects including a nursing home. Thanks to your support, I have been able to bring to fruition community initiatives: the Telethon, Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), a lottery to raise awareness about cancer, village clean-ups, and blood drives.
I also work closely with the schools, supporting teachers and teaching assistants, and participate in all council meetings. The education and well-being of our students are our top priorities.
Proud to represent women's issues whenever possible, to listen to you every day, to promote solidarity and respect, and to continue working for the well-being of Bize: this is what I offer you.
Patrick RESPLANDY
Born in Bize-Minervois, a retired professional firefighter, I have been involved in my community since 1987, serving on the Town Council. My experience has allowed me to successfully complete essential projects such as the implementation of the Municipal Emergency Plan (PCS), video surveillance, forest and urban fire protection equipment, as well as the implementation and monitoring of the Legal Obligations for Brush Clearing (OLD).
This expertise has enabled us, under the leadership of Alain Fabre, to activate the Municipal Emergency Plan (for floods and forest fires) as efficiently as possible whenever necessary.
As the town's representative to the Water Authority, liaison with the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS), and liaison with the Ministry of Defense, the Forest Communities Association, and Natura 2000, I currently serve as Deputy Mayor, responsible for public safety and public works, on the outgoing council for the past two terms.
Volunteering and safety are my watchwords: I actively participate in all associative and festive activities, providing help and advice on event safety.
Nathalie MIGAIRE
A trained community nurse, born and bred in Bize, and deeply attached to our village, its unique way of life, its authenticity, and its friendly atmosphere, I believe that promoting health, strengthening social bonds, and fostering solidarity will be at the heart of my commitments.
Drawing on my professional experience, I want to improve access to healthcare by expanding the range of services available in the town and by implementing prevention and education programmes tailored to all generations.
I am also committed to improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods by creating neighborhood councils and developing meeting places that encourage intergenerational exchange.
José ESCARGUEL
A retired technician and town councillor, a Bizois for three generations, I have been involved in local associations, particularly sports clubs, for over twenty years.
During my previous term, I was responsible for relations with community organisations and overseeing the development of sports facilities.
Passionate about outdoor sports, I want to contribute to the growth of these activities by taking advantage of the appeal of our natural environment and continue working with the volunteers who bring such wonderful life to our village.
Valérie CLAVEL
Born and raised in Bize, I have lived here since my youth. As a sales director and deputy director at a local cooperative, I have dedicated myself for 28 years to promoting our agriculture, supporting our producers, and proudly championing our local products.
Optimising resources, mobilising means, and providing solutions are part of my daily work. I wish to put these skills to use for effective and even more efficient municipal management.
I want to fully commit to the economic development of our town, supporting and promoting all its components: local agriculture, crafts, businesses, and all public and private services.
Ready to commit myself with energy, authenticity, and rigour, I want to contribute to strengthening the vitality and attractiveness of our beautiful village, building on its heritage, urban, and environmental assets.
Olivier DE WINNE
Promoting Occitanie online is both my profession and my passion. After several years in London as a structural engineer, I chose to settle in Bize-Minervois, a vibrant, well-rounded village close to my family.
Since my arrival, I have been involved in local life, particularly with Bize Patrimoine and by volunteering to redesign the website for the Lou Recantou association.
Today, I want to put my experience to work for the community by developing the town hall website into a clear and useful tool for everyone, while maintaining high-quality printed information for residents without internet access.
My motto is "digital for speed, print for staying connected."
Céline CAMMAN
A nurse for 23 years, a self-employed nurse for 18 years, and co-manager of the Bize Health Centre where I practise, My family has lived here for several generations and I am committed to contributing to the life of my community through my professional experience.
I wish to promote health, facilitate access to care, and lead prevention and education initiatives. I also want to work alongside the municipal team and inter-municipal bodies to encourage solidarity, support for individuals, and foster intergenerational connections.
Deeply attached to my hometown, I am ready to actively contribute to its development in order to create a genuine space for expression and participation for young and old alike.
Timothée BICHET
As a native of Bize and, like you, passionate about the village, it is because of my desire to repay the kindness I received throughout my childhood, from primary school to my departure for university, that I wish to get involved.
A biochemistry and molecular biology engineer at the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), now a specialist physician, I am passionate about sports and science.
I wish to dedicate myself to initiatives promoting effective preventative medicine, in collaboration with colleagues at the health centre, and to foster participatory democracy in my role as an elected official.
Claire LANET
Deeply attached to the town of Bize, where I used to visit my grandparents, I settled here in 2008, first in Cabezac and then in Bize. It is with this emotional connection that I wish to work alongside the municipal team for our shared future.
Committed to environmental protection, I want to strengthen initiatives that promote a greener and more resilient living environment. I want our river and wooded hills to be preserved and enhanced so that they remain a source of pride for our town.
Public safety will also remain a priority: prevention, listening, and collaboration with local stakeholders and residents so that everyone feels safe and secure.
As a teacher, I want to contribute to making our village a wonderful place to live, both now and in the future.
Rémi EUGÈNE
I grew up in Bize, on the banks of the Cesse River, and am deeply attached to our beautiful village where I experienced the best moments of my life.
A winegrower and olive grower since 2005, I represent the third generation of farmers in the area. I am also involved in the cooperative sector, having served as vice-president of a local organisation for several years.
I wish to work alongside the municipal team to support Bize and its residents, promote diversified and resilient agriculture, preserve ethical tourism, and strengthen local businesses that remain close to the community.
My aim is to ensure our wonderful village of Bize remains a pleasant place to live and continues to be one of the ‘green diamonds’ of the Minervois.
Myriam AZEMA
A resident of Bize by marriage for nearly 40 years, I have worked in the field of designing effective communication campaigns for a regional press group in Occitanie.
One of my goals upon retirement was to settle in a pleasant, vibrant village with essential amenities; I achieved this two years ago.
I now wish to use my professional experience to serve my community by developing a targeted, flexible, and accessible communication strategy aimed at informing citizens and meeting their needs for trust and transparency.
Claude RIEUX
A retired aerospace industry employee, from a family deeply involved in the village (my father served several terms as mayor), I am a municipal councillor responsible for communication with residents and those who have always been involved in the community.
I have worked to disseminate information about village events to every household through the implementation of a widely used modern application, as well as managing and contributing to the Bize-Minervois Facebook page and developing and distributing the BIM (bulletin d'information municipal).
I want to further develop our communication strategy, particularly by publishing the agendas of municipal council meetings and the resolutions adopted. As a person with a disability and an active member of the APF France Handicap association, serving as an elected regional representative, I will remain vigilant regarding accessibility and advise the town hall on matters related to public facilities, as I did for the work undertaken in Cabezac and the installation of an elevator in the town hall.
Chantal PEYRAMAURE
A retired professional with over 30 years of experience as a caregiver for my son with myopathy, I am now available to volunteer my time.
A volunteer for BizBiz Fleurs and a participant in various activities organized by Recantou, I have lived in Bize for four years and am deeply attached to this village, which reminds me of my Aveyron roots and its values. This connection led me to join the outgoing team.
I wish to dedicate myself to the community to strengthen social bonds and foster a sense of well-being in our beautiful village.
Joan TORRES
As a site manager in the public works sector, specializing in road construction and development projects, I have worked alongside the municipal team for several years, carrying out a portion of their roadwork projects.
Having witnessed the quality of their work, the relevance of their projects, and the efficiency with which they are implemented, I decided to join the outgoing team.
Having lived in the town since 2021 and playing rugby for Bassin Sud Minervois, I wish to contribute my field experience and expertise in public works, particularly in the development of the old town centre, its narrow streets and squares, as well as my skills in safety and urban planning, to the village.
Carrie BLASCHEK
Having arrived in Bize to join my family 25 years ago, I have witnessed and appreciated the numerous projects undertaken by the municipal team, which have significantly improved the quality of life for residents.
Originally from Britain, I had the honour of becoming a French citizen a few years ago. Recently retired from a career in tourism, I wish to contribute to the life of this dynamic and welcoming community by promoting neighborhood activities and facilitating meetings between residents, elected officials, and municipal services.
To encourage communication and participation in events, cultural activities, community groups, and charitable initiatives, I offer my language skills to translate municipal information and news, as well as signage for the village and environmental trails.
It is a privilege and a pleasure to be able to serve this unique and wonderful village, which has managed to preserve its traditions while embracing tourism and commercial opportunities.
Aurélien EVRAD
As a professional accountant and town councillor, I wish to dedicate my skills to the financial management of our municipality. Having already worked on these matters during the previous term, I have developed a taste for this work and wish to continue this commitment within this new team.
A native of the village, I also want to work for the youth. A rugby player for Bassin Sud Minervois and involved in local associations, I am committed to preserving our traditions, particularly the carnival, which is an integral part of our town's identity.
