A meeting to answer your questions, explain our program, and have an open discussion with you. Come and talk, ask your questions, and share your expectations.
In Bize-Minervois, we build our future together step by step: we grow, we learn, we work, we get involved, and we aspire to age with dignity, surrounded by loved ones and in safety.
Our ambition is simple and clear: to make Bize-Minervois a supportive village, true to its identity, where every resident matters and finds their place throughout their life.
This program is yours. It was born from your expectations, your concerns, and your hopes, with a shared ambition: to continue building a welcoming, dynamic village, focused on the future.
We will strengthen video surveillance to protect residents and prevent antisocial behavior, secure village entrances, and calm traffic where speeding poses a danger.
We will implement joint community initiatives with the municipal police.
We will take concrete action for pedestrians, cyclists, and people with reduced mobility, particularly along the departmental roads that cross our village, so that everyone can travel safely. The studies have been completed and will be presented, as with Cabezac, in consultation with local residents.
In the face of natural and wildfire risks, we will continue to strengthen the fire protection network and enforce legal brush clearing requirements. We will remain vigilant regarding flood risks.
We will also develop sustainable transport options with the Bize-Cabezac greenway (voie verte). A study, 75% subsidised, is currently underway and will be presented to the public in April or May.
We will place prevention and active listening at the heart of our actions by creating a citizens’ health group, giving residents a direct voice.
An annual health program will make our health initiatives visible: screenings, workshops, and conferences. Health Cafés will provide opportunities for informal and personal discussions about major life issues.
We will support healthcare professionals, raise awareness among young people about medical careers, and adapt urban planning to accommodate disability, not just in theory, but in everyday reality.
We will finalise the school’s energy-efficiency upgrades to improve children’s comfort and to sustainably reduce operating costs.
Classrooms will be adapted to teachers’ needs to provide students with optimal learning conditions.
The school’s back playground will be redesigned to become a more functional, pleasant, and safe space that promotes children’s well-being and development.
We will give children and young people a voice with a Children’s Municipal Council and a Youth Citizens’ Council.
We will create spaces dedicated to teenagers to offer them places to express themselves and meet others.
For our senior citizens, we will improve mobility, combat isolation, and support family caregivers. Intergenerational projects (community gardens, knowledge sharing, preserving village history) will strengthen community spirit.
We will finalise the revision of the Local Urban Development Plan (PLU).
We will study the creation of a sustainable neighborhood, incorporating water-efficient vegetation that takes into account climate challenges and quality of life. Working closely with the residents, we will add greenery to the village centre and new neighborhoods to make them more attractive and appealing.
Public spaces will be redesigned as meeting places: a public garden, recreational areas, and sports facilities for everyone.
We will enhance and protect our natural heritage, such as the Boussecos botanical trail. We will implement key infrastructure improvements to enhance traffic flow, creating a new road connecting the cemetery area to the Agel road.
We will support existing businesses, services, and artisans, and encourage the establishment of new activities to revitalise the historic centre. To this end, we will upgrade public spaces and make necessary land investments.
We will support diversified and sustainable agriculture by facilitating access to water, an essential resource for its survival. It is important to recognise and support agricultural and natural areas for their ecological and landscape value, particularly through practices such as pastoralism.
We will involve schools and senior citizens in these projects.
We will develop an active tourism sector centred around events that bring together local stakeholders, producers, and associations.
Tourism will be designed around our identity (conviviality, history, and heritage).
We will implement clear signage to better welcome visitors.
We will value volunteer work. We will promote solidarity among associations by organising consultations with them.
A newsletter dedicated to associations will be created to better promote their activities, coordinate events, and increase the visibility of local community life. The Petit Bizois association will continue to receive support.
Neighborhood meetings will allow everyone to express their views in order to create intergenerational meeting places and events that foster social connections.
Each year, we will organize a welcome event for newcomers to the town.
We will clearly modernise existing digital tools—the municipal website and app—to make them simple, practical, and accessible, while maintaining essential printed information for residents less comfortable with digital technology.
Information panels will allow for the rapid dissemination of safety alerts and local news. They will be installed at each entrance to the village.
We will clearly report on the progress of projects and municipal decisions in the B.I.M. (municipal newsletter).
We will successfully complete the “World Music” cultural project (Nilda Fernandez), creating spaces for cultural access for all: a media library, community hubs, documentary screenings, and rehearsal and performance spaces.
These spaces will be designed as lively hubs for daily life, meeting, and sharing, accessible to all generations. This will enrich our children’s education.
The “Tour d’Attila” property could help shape the artistic dynamism of our village.
We will continue and strengthen our support for CinéM’Aude, a recognized and valued cultural institution.
We will actively seek grants to optimise our financing plans and align them with our investment capacity. Every Euro of public money will be used rigorously, transparently, and efficiently.
We will explain municipal finances clearly so that everyone understands where the money goes and why. We will hold an annual budget briefing.
The independent and renowned firm KPMG, specialising in auditing and financial certification, validated in 2024 and 2025 the exemplary financial management of our municipality.
Bize-Minervois deserves a committed, responsible, and experienced team that is close to its residents. For this upcoming term, you can count on our determination, our professionalism, and our commitment to serving everyone.
